COSMETIC STANDARDS

We take immense pride in every distinctive piece of furniture we create. Since our products are handmade and hand-finished, variations and "imperfections" in the wood should be expected and appreciated! Just as every tree is unique, so is every piece of furniture we craft for you.

WOOD & STAIN VARIATIONS - Our furniture has a unique appearance and slight color variations due to its natural grain patterns. We cannot guarantee an exact match in stain color to other furniture. Wood has a mind of its own, and every piece of wood accepts stains differently. We can influence it, but we can't control it entirely. We will use the correct stain or paint color you requested for your order, but there is a chance the color will vary slightly from the table or picture you had in mind when you placed the order.

MATCHING STAIN COLORS - We can't match stain colors from photos. To create a custom stain, you'll need to send a sample of the color you want to our workshop.

SANDING & STAIN COLORS - The level of smoothness you want for your table will affect the color of the stain. A finely finished table will be lighter, while a distressed table will be darker even when the same stain is applied to each.  

GENERAL VARIATIONS IN REAL WOOD FURNITURE - Handcrafted, solid wood furniture may feature knots, minor imperfections, textural variations on the surface, unique distress marks, wood filler marks, joint lines, distinctive nicks, splits, filled cracks, and other blemishes. There may be up to 1 inch of variation across all measurements due to the custom nature of our handcrafted furniture. Solid wood will expand and contract due to seasonal changes in humidity. This natural movement does not affect structural integrity and is not considered a defect.

LEAD TIMES - When placing an order, please remember that the lead time provided is our best estimate of when we will complete your project. We occasionally complete orders before the estimated lead time, but production issues may cause delays. If you request delivery for a special occasion, such as a party or holiday, we will do our best to accommodate your wishes, but we cannot guarantee a delivery date.

RETURN POLICY

Our products are specially designed and custom-built to our customers’ unique specifications. We take immediate steps upon execution of a Purchase Agreement to design, order, reserve, dry, mill, cut, and construct those items. We guarantee our products will be free of manufacturing defects for life; therefore, we do not accept returns.

TERMS OF PURCHASE AGREEMENT AND PAYMENT

1. Wild Edge Woodcraft warrants all our products to be free of insects and manufacturing defects for life and will make every reasonable effort to repair or replace manufacturing defects. Wild Edge Woodcraft agrees to conduct business with integrity and in conformity with customary industry practices and laws.    

2. The customer understands that wood is hygroscopic; it changes dimension as it naturally and seasonally absorbs and loses water from its environment. As such, it is susceptible to stress-related degradation, such as swelling, shrinking, warping, cupping, twisting, bowing, checking, cracking, and discoloration, which are NOT considered manufacturing defects. 

3. The customer understands that the products described are specially designed and custom-built and that Wild Edge Woodcraft takes immediate steps upon execution of a Purchase Agreement to design, order, reserve, dry, mill, cut, and construct those items; therefore, Purchase Agreements are not subject to cancellation by the Customer for any reason.

4. Customer agrees to pay the deposit within seven days of a Purchase Agreement and agrees to pay the total remaining balance, including any customer-approved change order costs, upon completion. If the customer cannot receive the product upon completion, the Customer agrees to pay the total remaining balance plus storage fees of $125 per month while the product(s) remain in storage. 

5. Wild Edge Woodcraft retains the right upon breach of a Purchase Agreement by the Customer to sell those items in Wild Edge Woodcraft’s possession. In effecting any sale on breach of this Agreement by Customer, Wild Edge Woodcraft shall be deemed to act as Agent for Customer, and Customer shall be liable for any net deficiency on resale.
